Profiles of Speakers:

Dr. Tom Woodman is Board Certified in Neurofeedback and the Clinical Director of Neurofeedback at Brain & Body Wellness - a qEEG-Based Neurofeedback Training Facility located in Norwalk. Abnormal EEG activity (brainwave patterns) has been shown to contribute to a number of different clinical conditions and behaviors, including anxieties, ADHD, depression, insomnia, migraines, emotional regulation and learning disabilities. Neurofeedback Therapy is a sophisticated training system that can teach an individual to produce more desired brainwave patterns, and it has been shown to be an effective, non-drug treatment alternative that is generally preferred by children over more conventional interventions for many of different conditions.

Dr. Woodman is a recognized expert on neurofeedback. He holds the status of Associate Fellow through the Biofeedback Certification International Alliance (BCIA), and has served as a mentor to those seeking Board Certification in Neurofeedback since 2013. In 2015, he started lecturing throughout the country on the topic of functional brain development, neuroplasticity and neurofeedback. This led to the creation of a seminar series in 2017 called "Why America is so Sick Today", which discusses natural treatment alternatives to help combat the dramatic rise in many health conditions within the pediatric population, including those mentioned above. He has also served as a panel expert on neurofeedback for a number of different healthcare agencies, and in 2019, began teaching Grand Rounds to local hospital social workers and psychologists. He has been a sponsored speaker by of a number of therapeutic and individual learning based schools, and has spoken to various PTA's within the local communities.
